Privacy Policy
House on the Hill Construction LLC (“we”, “us”) collects personal information through hothconstruction.com. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it. We are a licensed California general contractor (CSLB #1006728) based in the Sacramento area.
What we collect
We collect personal information only when you submit the project form on our site. The form asks for:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your project location or ZIP code
- your project type, budget range and desired timing
- a description of your project
All of these are needed to submit the form. We do not ask for payment details, government ID numbers or account passwords, and you should not enter them in the form.
How we use it
We use what you send to review your project, decide whether we are a good fit, and contact you about it by phone, text or email. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Spam protection
To limit abuse, the site briefly counts how many times the form is submitted from the same internet address. Only the address and the times of recent requests are kept. They are held in the server’s temporary memory, not in a database, they are used to count requests over a ten-minute window, and they are lost when the server restarts. Nothing else about the visit is stored.
Who receives it
When you submit the form, the site sends your details as one email to us through Resend, an email-delivery service we use. The email goes to our business inbox. When you reply to it, your reply goes straight to the email address you gave us. Your inquiry is also added to our own customer-tracking system (CRM), which we host on our own server. Our hosting provider, Vercel, runs the website and may keep its own technical records of visits. We do not share your project details with anyone else unless the law requires it or you ask us to.
How long we keep it
We keep each inquiry for 12 months after it arrives, then delete it from our email and our CRM, unless it becomes a job with us. Our email and CRM records are under our control, so you can ask us to delete yours at any time (see “Your choices” below). The website itself does not keep a copy of what you submit.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising or analytics tools on this site, and we do not run tracking pixels, chat widgets or embedded maps or videos. The site’s own code does not set cookies or store anything in your browser. Our hosting provider may handle basic technical data to deliver pages, which we do not control.
Links to other sites
Our site links to our Houzz reviews, our Google Business Profile and the California Contractors State License Board. Nothing is sent to those sites unless you click a link, and their privacy practices are their own.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email justin@hothconstruction.com or call (916) 276-8972. If you would rather not use the form, you can call, text or email us instead.
Children
This site is for adults hiring contractors. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change how the site handles personal information, we will update this page and the date below.
